Vanessa graduated with a Bachelor in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Colorado with endorsements in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, English as a Second Language (ESL).
She is also a certified GLOBE educator. She currently serves as a World Language & Global Awareness Instructor for the Douglas County School District in Colorado. Prior to that, she worked at Global Village Academy as an Instructional Assistant to the Spanish Immersion Program.
Her passion for education stems from her background in Early Childhood Education. Vanessa entered the field of education with a goal - which is to advocate for underserved students, to promote diverse equity, and to help her students to develop a positive global view.
At the same time, she has been serving as the program director for Teacher’s Learning Center to provide online independent studies for current K12 educators in the U.S. She develops new courses based on current educational trends such as STEM, Education Equity, and English Learners issues, and designs the course curricula.
